Chicken 65 Dum Biryani

Chicken 65 Biryani is a special kind of biryani where the cooked rice is layered with chicken 65 masala and other spices, and dum cooked with perfection.

Ingredients:


For Chicken 65:

  • 2 Kg Boneless Chicken

  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste

  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder

  • 2 Eggs

  • 3 Tablespoon All Purpose Flour

  • 3 Tablespoon Cornflour

  • 7 Chopped Green Chilies

  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Coriander Leaves

  • 1/4 Teaspoon Red Food Color


For Rice:

  • 10 Cups Basmati Rice

  • 18 Cups Water

  • 3 Tsp Salt

  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste

  • 1 Tablespoon Oil

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Shah Jeera

  • 3 Bay Leaves

  • 3 Cinnamon Sticks

  • 1 Tablespoon Ghee


For Curry:

  • 1 Tablespoon Oil

  • 1 Tablespoon Ghee

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Shah Jeera

  • 2 Bay Leaves

  • 2 Cinnamon Stick

  • 1 Large Sliced Onion

  • 5 Green Chilies

  • 2 Cups Coriander Leaves

  • 2 Cups Mint Leaves

  • 2 Cups Curd

  • 1 Cup Milk

  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • 2 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder

  • 2 Teaspoon Salt

  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Leaves

  • 1 Teaspoon Biryani Powder

  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste

  • 2 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

Method:


For Rice:

  1. Wash the 10 cups Basmati rice and drain the water.

  2. Add 18 cups water, 3 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 1 tablespoon oil, 1/2 teaspoon Shah Jeera, 3 bay leaves, 3 cinnamon sticks, 1 tablespoon ghee and soak the rice for 30 minutes, turn on the rice cooker.

For Gravy:

  1. In a cooking pot, add 1 tablespoon oil, 1 tablespoon ghee, 1/2 teaspoon Shah Jeera, 2 bay leaves, 2 cinnamon stick, 1 large sliced onion, and fry until onions are brown and crispy.

  2. Add 5 green chilies, 2 cups coriander leaves, 2 cups mint leaves, and mix well.

  3. Add 2 cups curd, 1 cup milk, and mix well.

  4. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 2 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 teaspoon coriander leaves, 1 teaspoon biryani powder, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste and boil until the gravy is thick.

  5. Add 2 tablespoon lemon juice and turn off the stove.

Setting Biryani:

  1. Add 2 teaspoons of ghee to the bottom of the pot and add 1/2 of the gravy layer to the bottom.

  2. Add 1/2 of the rice layer, add the rest of the gravy layer.

  3. Add 1/2 of the chicken pieces on top of the gravy, add the rest of the rice.

  4. Add 1 cup of saffron milk, add chopped mint, add chopped coriander leaves.

  5. Add 2 teaspoon ghee, add 1 whole lemon juice.

  6. Add the rest of the chicken pieces on top of the rice, cover with foil, and close the lid and cook on medium heat for 30 minutes.

  7. Remove the foil & enjoy the delicious chicken 65 dum biryani
