Chinta Chiguru (Tender Tamarind Leaves) Chicken

Chicken Chinta chiguru is a popular Andhra cuisine. Chicken is cooked with tender tamarind leaves these leaves are only available during spring season.

Ingredients:
500 Grams Chicken
2 Teaspoons Tamarind Leaves Powder
1 Onion
2 Tablespoons Oil
3 Green Chilies
1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
2 Teaspoons Red Chili Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Teaspoon Raw Mango
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala
Coriander Leaves for Garnish
Method:
Heat 1 tablespoon oil and add 1 cup chopped onion. Stir for 1 minute.
Add 3 green chilies and fry until golden brown.
Add 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, add 500 gm chicken and mix well.
Add 2 teaspoons red chili powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and close the lid. Cook for 5 minutes.
Mix it and cook for another 5 minutes.
Add 2 teaspoon dry chinta chiguru powder, add chopped raw mango, add half cup water and cook for 5 minutes.
Add 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, add ½ teaspoon garam masala. and add chopped coriander leaves.
Mix well and turn off the stove.
