Delicious & Crispy Falafel
Falafel is a popular Middle Eastern “fast food” made of a mixture of chickpeas, fresh herbs, and spices that are formed into small patties or balls. It’s often served in sandwich form with a generous drizzle of tahini and loads of Mediterranean salad.

1 Cup Chickpeas
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Parsley
1/2 Cup Coriander Leaves
1 Small Onion
3 Cloves Garlic
3/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Tablespoon Pepper Powder
1/2 Tablespoon Cumin Powder
1/2 Tablespoon Coriander Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1 Teaspoon Roasted Sesame Seeds
Oil for Deep Fry
1. Soak 1 cup chickpeas overnight. Drain the water and dry the chickpeas on a paper towel.
2. Add the chickpeas to the food processor and add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 cup parsley, 1/2 cup coriander leaves, 1 small onion, 3 cloves garlic, 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 tablespoon pepper powder, 1/2 tablespoon cumin powder, 1/2 tablespoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Grind all together.
3. Take it to the bowl and add 1 teaspoon roasted sesame seeds. Mix well and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
4. Make small balls and deep fry the chickpeas balls in the oil on medium heat until golden brown.
5. Serve hot with Hummus.
