Drumsticks (Munnakaya) Korma

A thick rich gravy made with onion, tomatoes, peanuts and coconut and is cooked with drumstick (Munnakaya) till it has developed all the flavors. Serve with Roti or Naan.

Ingredients:
2 Cups Water
1 Teaspoon Salt
3 Drumsticks
A piece of Ginger
2 Tbsps Oil
1 Teaspoon Jeera
1 Chopped Onion
1/2 Turmeric Powder
1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Chopped Tomato
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
1 Teaspoon Jeera Powder
1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
1 Cup Coconut & Peanuts Puree
1/2 Cup Drumsticks Stock

Method:
Boil 2 cups of water and add 1 teaspoon salt. Now add 3 peeled drumsticks, a piece of ginger, and cook until drumsticks are soft.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil and add 1 teaspoon Jeera, 1 chopped onion. Sauté until onions are translucent.
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste and mix well for 30 seconds.
Add 1 chopped tomatoes and sauté until tomatoes are soft.
Now add 1 tablespoon chili powder, 2 teaspoons coriander powder, 1 teaspoon Jeera powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala, and mix well.
Add 1 cup of coconut and peanuts puree. Mix well and cook for 10 minutes.
Add cooked drumsticks. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
Add 1/2 cup drumsticks stock and mix well. Cook until oil separates.
Garnish with coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
