Easy & Crispy Gobi Manchurian | Cauliflower Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is a popular Indian-Chinese recipe of fried cauliflower florets tossed in a spicy and sweet sauce. You can serve this semi-dry gobi Manchurian as such as an appetizer.

Ingredients:


Cauliflower


For Batter:

  • 2 Tablespoons Maida (All Purpose Flour)

  • 2 Tablespoons Corn Flour

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder

  • 1/2 Teaspoon

  • Salt

  • A pinch Orange Red Color


For Seasoning:

  • 2 Tablespoon Oil

  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Garlic

  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Green Chilies

  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Spring Onions

  • 1/2 Cup Green Capsicum

  • 1/2 Cup Onions

  • 1 Tablespoon Vinegar

  • 1 Tablespoon Soya Sauce

  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Tomato Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Garlic Sauce

  • Coriander Leaves


Method:

  1. Cut the cauliflower into medium size pieces and add them into hot water. Keep it aside for 5 minutes.

  2. In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons cornflour, 1/2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tablespoon chili powder, 1/2 tablespoon salt, a pinch of orange-red color & mix them well.

  3. Add little water and make it a thick batter.

  4. Now add the cauliflower to the batter and mix it. Deep fry cauliflower in oil like pakoda & take it out & keep aside.

  5. Take a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, and heat it for 2 minutes.

  6. Now add 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon of green chilies & add half cup spring onion. Mix them for 5 secs on high flame.

  7. Add 1/2 cup green capsicum, 1/2 cup onions & saute them for 2 minutes.

  8. Add 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tablespoon tomato sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoons soya sauce, 2 tablespoons chili garlic paste/sauce & mix them well for 30 secs.

  9. Add chopped coriander leaves & mix well.

  10. Add salt as per taste & mix well.

  11. Add fried cauliflower & mix well & cook it for 2 minutes.

  12. Turn off the stove & enjoy the delicious Gobi Manchurian.
