Kadhi Pakora

Kadhi is a popular north Indian dish, made with besan and yogurt as main ingredients with gram flour pakodas dipped in it. A popular recipe across Indian homes, Kadhi is best served along with cooked rice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Curd

  • 2 Teaspoons Green Chili Paste

  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • Salt as per taste

  • 2 Tablespoon Besan (Chickpeas Flour)

  • 1 Tablespoon Oil

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds

  • 3 Dry Red Chilies

  • Few Curry Leaves

For Pakora:

  • 1/2 Cup Besan

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder

  • Salt as per Taste

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Gonger Garlic Paste

  • A pinch baking soda

Method:

  1. Take 1 Cup Curd in a mixer, add 2 teaspoons green chili paste, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, salt as per taste, 2 tablespoon besan (Chickpeas Flour),

  2. Add some water & grind it.

  3. In a pan, 1 tablespoon Oil & add 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds, 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds, 3 dry red chilies & stir it.

  4. Add Few Curry Leaves & mix them.

  5. Add curd mixture, some water in it & mix well.

  6. In the Curd kadhi pan, add chopped coriander leaves and take it into a bowl.

  7. Add pakoras in hot kadhi.

Procedure for making Pakora:

  1. Take 1/2 Cup besan in a bowl, add 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, salt as per taste, 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste.

  2. A pinch baking soda & add water & mix well.

  3. Fry the pakoras until golden brown.
