Masala Oats Porridge

Masala Oats porridge is a vegan and healthy breakfast recipe.  It is quick and easy to make dish loaded with vegetables and flavorful spices.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon Oil

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds

  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onions

  • 4 Chopped Green Chillies

  • Few Curry Leaves

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste

  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Tomatoes

  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Green Beans

  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Carrot and Peas

  • 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • 1/4 Teaspoon Coriander Powder

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt

  • 1 1/4 Cup Water

  • 1 Cup Oats

  • Chopped Coriander Leaves

Method:

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil, add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/2 cup onions, 4 green chilies, few curry leaves and sauté for 2 minutes.

  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and mix well.

  3. Add 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes, 1/4 cup green beans, 1/4 cup carrot & peas, and stir fry for 2 minutes.

  4. Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/4 teaspoon pav bhaji powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix well.'

  5. Add 1 1/4 cup water. Once the water is boiling add 1 cup oats and cook until oats are well done.

  6. Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
