Quick & Easy Kesari Phirni

Phirni or Firni is a traditional Kashmiri dessert which is made using milk and rice. This Mughlai sweet is a treat to eat and is very easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Basmati Rice

  • 1 Liter Full Fat Milk

  • 1 Can Condensed Milk

  • 1 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder

  • 2 Pinch Saffron

  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Pistachios

Method:

  1. Soak 1/2 Cup Basmati Rice for 5 hours.

  2. Dry the rice on a paper towel and make a coarse powder.

  3. Add 1-liter Full Fat Milk in a pot.

  4. Add the rice powder, mix continuously until the rice is cooked.

  5. Add 1 Can Condense Milk & mix well.

  6. Add 1 teaspoon elachi powder, 2 Pinch Saffron.

  7. Add 1/4 Cup Finely Chopped Pistachios.

  8. Boil until the milk is thick, as shown in the video.

  9. Served chilled & enjoy.
