Quick & Tasty Spicy Semiya Pulao

Vermicelli Pulao/Semiya Pulao is a quick and easy breakfast Indian dish made with vermicelli, your choice of vegetables and some basic Indian spices.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Vermicelli

  • 2 Tablespoon Oil/Ghee

  • 1 Teaspoon Shah Jeera

  • 3 Sticks Cinnamon

  • 1 Small Onion

  • 4 Green Chilies

  • 1/2 Cup Tomatoes

  • 1/2 Cup Potato

  • 4 Cups Water

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder

  • Salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Dry roast 2 Cups Vermicelli for 3 minutes, keep it aside.

  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil and 1 teaspoon Shah Jeera, 3 sticks cinnamon, 1 small chopped onion, 4 green chilies, 1/2 cup tomatoes, 1/2 cup potato and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.

  3. Add ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, and mix well.

  4. Add 4 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, salt as per taste.

  5. Close the lid & boil it for 1 minute.

  6. Add the roasted vermicelli and mix well.

  7. Add chopped coriander leaves and close the lid. Cook until vermicelli is soft, stirring occasionally.
