Quick & Tasty Spicy Semiya Pulao

Vermicelli Pulao/Semiya Pulao is a quick and easy breakfast Indian dish made with vermicelli, your choice of vegetables and some basic Indian spices.

2 Cups Vermicelli
2 Tablespoon Oil/Ghee
1 Teaspoon Shah Jeera
3 Sticks Cinnamon
1 Small Onion
4 Green Chilies
1/2 Cup Tomatoes
1/2 Cup Potato
4 Cups Water
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
Salt as per taste
Dry roast 2 Cups Vermicelli for 3 minutes, keep it aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil and 1 teaspoon Shah Jeera, 3 sticks cinnamon, 1 small chopped onion, 4 green chilies, 1/2 cup tomatoes, 1/2 cup potato and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
Add ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, and mix well.
Add 4 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, salt as per taste.
Close the lid & boil it for 1 minute.
Add the roasted vermicelli and mix well.
Add chopped coriander leaves and close the lid. Cook until vermicelli is soft, stirring occasionally.
