Dal Makhani is a classic Indian dish made with whole urad dal, rajma, butter and spices. It is one of the most popular lentil dishes originated in the Punjab region of India.

For Boiling Dal:
1 Cup Whole Urad Dal
1/4 Cup Rajma
1/4 Cup Chana Dal
1 Tablespoon Butter
3 Cup Water
2 Garlic Cloves
2 Green Chilies
1 Teaspoon Butter
1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Teaspoons Chili Powder
2 Teaspoons Coriander Powder
2 Teaspoons Jeera Powder
1 Teaspoon Fennel powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi
2 Tablespoon Cream
3 Tablespoons Butter
1 Tablespoon Chopped Garlic
2 Green Chilies
Take 1 cup whole urad dal, 1/4 cup rajma, ¼ cup chana dal, 4 cups water & soak it overnight.
In a pressure cooker, add 1 teaspoon butter, soaked dals, add 3 cups water, 2 garlic cloves, 2 green chilies and pressure cook up to 5 whistles.
Mashed the cooked dal & keep it aside.
Add 1 teaspoon butter, add 1 chopped onion, sauté onions until slightly brown.
Add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste, add 2 chopped tomatoes, 2 teaspoon red chili powder, coriander powder, Jeera powder, fennel powder, 1 teaspoon salt & sauté it well.
Once the oil separates, add the dal and cover the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
Add 1 cup water (adjust the consistency).
Add 1 teaspoon Kasuri methi, 2 tablespoon cream, mix well and turn off the stove.
Take the dal into a bowl.
In steel rounded scoop, add 1 teaspoon butter, add chopped garlic, and sauté it, 2 green chilies.
Add the thadka in the bowl.
