Shakshuka Indian Style

Indian Style Shakshuka Recipe is a delicious twist to the traditional Shakshuka. Pouched eggs served on a thick tomato and pepper sauce is the perfect combination. It is spicy, tangy and saucy.

1 Large Onion
3 Large Tomatoes
1 Large Capsicum
1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1 Teaspoon Chili Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
Coriander Leaves for Garnish
Heat 1 tablespoon oil & add chopped onions.
Add chopped green chilies & fry until onions are light brown.
Add ginger garlic paste, add turmeric powder & fry for 1 minute.
Add chopped capsicum & mix well, close the lid & cook for 1 minute.
Add chopped tomatoes, mix it well & cook for 2 minutes.
Add 1 teaspoon Chili Powder, 1 teaspoon Salt, & mix well. Cook for 10 minutes.
Add 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder, Coriander Leaves & mix well.
When the water reduces, make a space with a spoon & turn the low heat flame & slowly crack the egg.
Close the lid & cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
open the cover, slowly check if the egg is thoroughly cooked & cook for 2 minutes, turn off the stove.
