Simple & Easy - Soya Tomato Curry

Soya chunks tomato curry is soya chunks/soya nuggets in a tomato based gravy. This dish is a simple flavorful curry with soya absorbing all the flavors. You can have this yummy soya chunks curry as a side dish for Rotis or pulao.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Soya Chunks

  • 2 Tablespoons Oil

  • 1 Teaspoon Jeera

  • 1 Chopped Onion

  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste

  • Few Curry Leaves

  • 2 Chopped Tomatoes

  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder

  • 1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Jeera Powder

  • Coriander Leaves

Method:

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil, add 1 teaspoon Jeera, 1 chopped onion and sauté until the onions are translucent.

  2. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, few curry leaves, and mix well.

  3. Add 2 chopped tomatoes, mix well and add 1 teaspoon salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.

  4. Add 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, and mix everything well.

  5. Add boiled soya chunks. Close the lid and cook for 10 minutes.

  6. Add 1/2 cup water and cook until the masala is well done.

  7. Turn off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
