Aloo gobi (potatoes & cauliflower) stir fry is a popular Indian dish in which potatoes and cauliflower are cooked with onions, tomatoes, and spices. It goes well with plain rice, roti, or Jeera Rice.
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Jeera
- 1 Cup Chopped Onions
- 3 Green Chilies
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Tomato
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Small Gobi Florets
- 3 Small Potatoes
- 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Jeera Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
Method
Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon oil and add 1 teaspoon jeera, 1 cup chopped onions, 3 green chilies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, and mix well.
Step 3
Add 1/2 cup chopped tomato and cook for 1 minute.
Step 4
Add 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and mix well.
Step 5
Add gobi florets, chopped potatoes, and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 6
Once the gobi and potato are well done, add 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon jeera, 1/4 teaspoon garam masala, and mix well.
Step 7
Cook for 2 minutes and add chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and turn off the stove.
Step 8
Serve hot with roti and enjoy.
