Palak Paneer is one of the most popular paneer dishes. Paneer (Indian cottage cheese) is cooked with spinach and spices in this creamy and flavorful curry. It pairs well with naan, paratha or jeera rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Spinach
  • 200 Grams Paneer
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Jeera
  • 1/2 Cup Sliced Onions
  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Ginger
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Jeera Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 2 Tablespoon Curd

Method

Step 1

Add 2 cups of spinach to hot water, boil for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Take out and immediately put it into cold water. Grind it into a smooth paste.

Step 3

In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons oil and add 1/2 teaspoon Jeera, 1/2 Cup Sliced Onions Fry until light brown.

Step 4

Add 1 teaspoon chopped garlic, 1 teaspoon chopped ginger, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon Jeera powder, 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder, 2 tablespoon curd and mix well.

Step 5

Add 2 tablespoons curd and mix well.

Step 6

Add the spinach paste and mix well.

Step 7

Add a little water and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 8

Add paneer cubes and cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the stove.
