Beerakaya Mutton curry is an excellent meat preparation with mutton cooked with beerakaya/torai that gives a unique taste. Sever with roti or white rice.
- 300 Grams Mutton
- 1/2 Kg Beerakaya
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Cup Onion
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 2 Teaspoons Red Chili Powder
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Fresh Methi Leaves
- Coriander Leaves for Garnish
Heat 1 tablespoon oil and add 1 cup sliced onion. Fry the onion until light brown.
Add 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, add 300 grams, mutton, and mix well.
Add 2 teaspoons red chili powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup water and mix well. Close the pressure cooker lid and cook up to 2 whistles.
Once the pressure is out, take out the cover and mix it.
Close the lid and cook for 3 minutes. Add 1 cup fresh methi leaves.
Close the lid and cook until beerakaya is well done.
Add chopped coriander leaves for garnish, mix it well and turn off the stove.
