Besan bread toast is a quick breakfast recipe using bread, besan, and veggies. This besan bread toast is another quick one to try especially if you do not eat eggs.


  • 1 Bowl Besan (Gram Flour)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Grated Carrot
  • 3 Chopped Green Chiles
  • 1/3 Cup Chopped Capsicum
  • 1/3 Cup Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1/3 Cup Chopped Onions
  • 1/3 Cup Coriander Leaves
  • Butter
  • 4 Slices Bread


Step 1

In a bowl, add besan, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, add little water and make a thick batter.

Step 2

Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/3 cup grated carrot, 3 chopped green chilies, 1/3 cup chopped capsicum, 1/3 cup chopped tomatoes, 1/3 cup chopped onions, 1/3 cup coriander leaves, and mix all together well.

Step 3

Add little butter to the pan and toast the bread on both sides.

Step 4

Apply the besan mixture to the toasted bread on both sides.

Step 5

Heat butter and add besan bread to the pan. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Add a little more butter and toast well on both sides.

Step 7

Take them out and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
