Besan curry is a very simple and quick curry made with onion and besan flour. Besan curry is easy and quick to prepare. You can prepare this dish in less than 15 minutes. It goes well with dosa.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Jeera
- 6 Chopped Green Chilies
- Few Curry Leaves
- 3 Large Sliced Onions
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 4 Teaspoons Besan (Gram Flour)
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
Method
Step 1
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add 1 teaspoon jeera, 6 chopped green chilies, few curry leaves, 3 large sliced onions. Sauté well and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Mix well and cook for 2 more minutes.
Step 3
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Take a bowl and add 4 teaspoons of besan, 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder, a pinch of salt, little water, and mix well. Keep it aside.
Step 5
Mix the onions well and add a besan mixture to the onions. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 6
Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Step 7
Turn off the stove and serve with dosa.
