Bhindi Masala is a popular Indian dish made with okra, onion, tomatoes & spices! This stir fry is best enjoyed with Rotis or chapati.
Ingredients
- 500 Grams Bhindi
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Jeera
- 1 Cup Sliced Onions
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Cup Chopped Tomato
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
Method
Step 1
Heat 2 tablespoon oil and add 1/2 teaspoon jeera, 1 cup sliced onions. Sauté well for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, and mix well.
Step 3
Add 1 cup chopped tomatoes. Mix well and cook until tomatoes are soft.
Step 4
Add 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, and mix well.
Step 5
Add 500 grams chopped bhindi and mix well. Cook on a slow flame until bhindi is well done. Mix occasionally.
Step 6
Add 1 teaspoon Kasuri methi, chopped coriander leaves, and mix well.
Step 7
Turn off the stove and serve hot with roti or chapati.
