This is a tasty non-vegetarian recipe, prepared with mutton and colocasia. As colocasia is used it is rich in carbohydrates. Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
Ingredients
- 300 Grams Chamdumpa (Arbi)
- 500 Grams Mutton
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 2 Medium Onions
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 5 Teaspoon Chili Powder
- Salt as per taste
- 1/2 Cup Tamarind Water
- 1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
Step 1
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pressure cooker, and add 2 chopped medium onions, fry until onions changes color.
Step 2
Add 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, and mix well.
Step 3
Add 500 Grams mutton and mix well.
Step 4
Add 5 teaspoon chili powder, salt as per taste. Mix well and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Add some water and mix well.
Step 6
Add 300 Grams Chamdumpa (Arbi) and mix well. Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
Step 7
Once the pressure releases, remove the lid and add 1/2 cup tamarind water and mix well.
Step 8
Add 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, and mix well.
Step 9
Add Coriander Leaves for garnish and turn off the stove.
