Chamakura pakoda are crisp and tasty deep-fried fritters made with chaamakura (arbi) leaves, gram flour (besan), onion, herbs, and spices. This pakoda is yet another perfect snack recipe for tea time snacks.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Chamakura
- 1 Cup Onion Slices
- 5 Chopped Green Chilies
- 1 Teaspoon Ajwain
- 1 Teaspoon Jeera
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- Salt as per taste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 3 Tablespoons Besan (Chickpeas Flour)
- 1 Teaspoon Rice Flour
- Oil for Deep Fry
- Chaat Masala for Garnish
Method
Step 1
Cut the chamakur and add it to the bowl.
Step 2
Add 1 cup of sliced onion to the same bowl.
Step 3
Add 5 chopped green chilies, 1 teaspoon ajwain, 1 teaspoon Jeera, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, and 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder. Mix well.
Step 4
Add 3 tablespoons of chickpeas flour and 1 teaspoon of rice flour. Mix well and add water if required.
Step 5
Heat oil in a Kadai. when the oil is hot, drop the mixture in small quantities.
Step 6
Keep stirring or until golden brown.
Step 7
Take it out and sprinkle the chaat masala.
Step 8
Server hot and enjoy!
