This quick and simple vegetarian popular North Indian recipe made from crumble paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese). Goes well with Indian bread like paratha/Naan or on top of toast.
Ingredients
- 200 Grams Paneer
- 2 Medium Onions
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 Big Tomato
- 3 Green Chilies
- 1 Small Capsicum
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
- Salt as per taste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 Teaspoon Chat Masala
- Coriander Leaves for Garnish
Method
Step 1
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add 2 medium chopped Onions.
Step 2
Fry until the onion changes color. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste, and sauté it well.
Step 3
Add 1 big chopped tomato, 3 Green Chilies and mix well.
Step 4
Add one chopped small capsicum, 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, salt as per taste, and mix well. Close the lid and cook until oil separates.
Step 5
Add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon chat masala, and mix well.
Step 6
Add 200 gm mashed paneer and mix well.
Step 7
Add coriander leaves and turn off the stove.8. Serve the paneer bhurji with Roti or Naan.
