Dosakaya pickle recipe – Dosavkaya is a pickle from Andhra and Telangana cuisine made using yellow cucumber. This is served with rice and dal/lentils.
Ingredients
- 1 Dosakaya
- 3 Tablespoons Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Jeera
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Seeds
- 3 Teaspoons Mustard Powder
- 3 Teaspoons Chili Powder
- 3 Teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 Teaspoon Jeera Methi Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
Method
Step 1
Heat 3 tablespoons oil in a cooking bowl, add 1 teaspoon jeera, 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/2 teaspoon chili seeds, and keep it aside to cool.
Step 2
In a bowl, add 3 teaspoons mustard powder, 3 teaspoons chili powder, 3 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon jeera methi powder, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, and mix well.
Step 3
Add oil seasoning in the bowl and mix well. Make sure oil is cool.
Step 4
Add dosakaya cubes and mix well.
