Gobi Manchurian is a popular Indian-Chinese recipe of fried cauliflower florets tossed in a spicy and sweet sauce. You can serve this semi-dry gobi Manchurian as such as an appetizer.
Ingredients (For Cauliflower Pakoda)
- 2 Tablespoons Maida (All Purpose Flour)
- 2 Tablespoons Corn Flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon
- A pinch Orange Red Color
Ingredients (For Seasoning)
- 2 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Chopped Garlic
- 1 Teaspoon Chopped Green Chilies
- 1/4 Cup Chopped Spring Onions
- 1/2 Cup Green Capsicum
- 1/2 Cup Onions
- 1 Tablespoon Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Soya Sauce
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Garlic Sauce
- Coriander Leaves
Cut the cauliflower into medium size pieces and add them into hot water. Keep it aside for 5 minutes.
In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of cornflour, 1/2 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tablespoon chili powder, 1/2 tablespoon salt, a pinch of orange-red color, and mix them well.
Add little water and make it a thick batter.
Now add the cauliflower to the batter and mix it. Deep fry cauliflower in oil like pakoda and take it out & keep it aside.
Take a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, and heat it for 2 minutes.
Now add 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon of green chilies & add half a cup of spring onion. Mix them for 5 secs on high flame.
Add 1/2 cup green capsicum, 1/2 cup onions, and saute them for 2 minutes.
Add 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tablespoon tomato sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoons soya sauce, 2 tablespoons chili garlic paste/sauce, and mix them well for 30 secs.
Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Add salt as per taste and mix well.
Add fried cauliflower. Mix well and cook it for 2 minutes.
Turn off the stove and enjoy the delicious Gobi Manchurian.
