This delicious everyday spicy Chicken Recipe is simple to make but is packed with authentic flavor from black pepper and spices. This delicious aromatic is the freshly ground pepper which brings a mild heat to the dish. Serve it along with Rasam and hot steamed.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Kg Chicken
  • 3 Tablespoons Oil
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Shah Jeera
  • 1 Cup Sliced Onions
  • 5 Chopped Green Chilies
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • 1.5 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 3 Teaspoons Coconut Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 Lemon Juice
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves

Method

Step 1

Heat 3 tablespoons of oil and add 1/2 teaspoon shah jeera.

Step 2

Add 2 cup sliced onions, 5 chopped green chilies, few curry leaves, and sauté well until onions are golden brown.

Step 3

Add 1.5 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, and mix well.

Step 4

Add 1.5 Kg chicken and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Add 1.5 teaspoon red chili powder, 2 teaspoon salt, and mix well. Cook for 10 minutes and mix occasionally.

Step 6

Add 1.5 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 3 teaspoons coconut powder, and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 7

Add 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder, 1/2 lemon juice, and mix well.

Step 8

Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Turn off the stove and enjoy.
