Goruchikkudu Kaya is the name for cluster beans. Goruchikkudu cooked with fresh methi tastes really good and goes well with both rice and roti.
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Large sliced Onion
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Green Chili Paste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Cup Fresh Methi
- 150 Grams Goru Chikkudu (Cluster Beans)
- 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
Method
Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pressure cooker and add 1 large sliced onion. Sauté well for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1 1/2 teaspoon green chili paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, and sauté well for a minute.
Step 3
Add 1 cup of fresh methi and sauté well for a minute.
Step 4
Add 150 grams of cluster beans and mix well.
Step 5
Add 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup water, and mix well. Close the pressure cooker lid and cook for 1 whistle.
Step 6
Once the pressure release takes out the lid. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 7
Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
Step 8
Serve hot with roti or rice.
