This famous Hyderabadi style Kheer can be served warm or chilled as classic Indian sweet and dessert for any occasion. Kaddu ki kheer recipe uses ghee, cardamom powder and Khoya for extra flavorful taste and the generous use of almonds adds richness.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Liter Whole Milk
- 1 1/2 Cup Grated Bottle Guard
- 400 Grams Condensed Milk
- 1 1/2 Cup Sugar
- Sliced Almonds
- Chopped Cashews
- Chopped Pistachios
- 200 Grams Khoya
- A Pinch Green Color
- 1/2 Cup Soaked Sabudana
- 1 Tsp Chironji
- 2 Tbsp Ghee
Method
Step 1
Heat ghee in a pot and add grated bottle gourd fry nicely for five minutes.
Step 2
Add one and a half liter milk, add half cup soaked sabudana, mix well.
Step 3
Boil it for 10 minutes & mix well occasionally, make sure it won't stick to the bottom.
Step 4
Add 200 grams of Khoya & boil for another 5 minutes.
Step 5
Add sliced almonds, chopped cashews, chopped pistachios & mix well. Boil for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Add 400 grams condensed milk, 1 and a half cup sugar, a Pinch green color & boil for another 5 minutes and off the stove.
