Kanda batata Poha recipe is a popular Maharashtrian snack recipe and a breakfast recipe made with flattened rice. It’s an amazing and quick snack recipe good to go during tea time in the evenings.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Thick Poha
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Jeera
- 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1 Cup Chopped Onions
- 6 Chopped Green Chilies
- Few Curry Leaves
- 1/4 Cup Peanuts
- 1 Choppe Potato
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
Method
Step 1
Add water in 2 cups of thick poha and give a quick wash. Strain the poha and keep it aside.
Step 2
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add 1/2 teaspoon jeera.
Step 3
Add 1 cup chopped onion, 6 chopped green chilies, few curry leaves, and a sauté well.
Step 4
Add 1/4 cup peanuts, 1 chopped potato, and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and mix well.
Step 6
Add poha and mix well. Stir fry for a minute.
Step 7
Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves, and mix well.
Step 8
Turn off the stove and serve hot.
