This simple green moong dal is so tasty and spicy and easy to make! This green gram curry is delicious, easy to make, and goes well with plain rice or roti.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Green Moong Dal
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Jeera
- 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 2 Green Chilies
- 2 Small Tomatoes
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- Salt as per taste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- Water as Required
Method
Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil & add 1/2 teaspoon Jeera.
Step 2
Add 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped green chilies, add 2 small tomatoes, add 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, salt as per taste, 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/4 tablespoon garam masala & mix well.
Step 3
Add soaked moong dal, add 1 cup water as required.
Step 4
Close the pressure cooker and cook up to 2 whistles.
Step 5
Add 1 cup water and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 6
Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
