Chicken parmigiana, or chicken parmesan, is a dish that consists of breaded chicken breast covered in marinara sauce and mozzarella, parmesan, and provolone cheese.
- 1 Lb Boneless Chicken Thin Slices
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- Olive Oil
- Marinara Sauce
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheeses
- Shredded Provolone Cheese
Mix 1 cup panko crumbs and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese in a bowl. Keep it aside.
Beat eggs in a shallow bowl and keep them aside.
Season the chicken on both sides with salt and pepper.
Place flour in a strainer and sprinkle over chicken breasts, evenly coating both sides.
Dip the coated chicken breast in beaten eggs. Transfer chicken breast to breadcrumbs mixture, pressing the crumbs into both sides. Repeat for each chicken breast. Set aside for 15 minutes.
Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet on medium flame.
Cook chicken until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side. Take it to the plate.
Spray the oil into the skillet and place the fried chicken.
Add the marinara sauce on top of the chicken.
Now add the provolone and mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara sauce.
Place the skillet on the stove on low flame and cook until the cheese completely melts.
Take it to the serving plate and serve with penne pasta.
