Sheer Khurma is a rich vermicelli pudding made with milk, lots of nuts, dates and sugar! Its often made during Eid in the Indian subcontinent, Afghanistan and also parts of central Asia. Eid festivities are kind of incomplete until and unless you have Sheer Khurma!
Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Chironji
- 1/4 Cup Pistachios
- 1/4 Cup Mellon Seeds
- 1/4 Cup Cashews
- 1/4 Cup Almonds
- 1/4 Cup Dates
- 1 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
- 5 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1 Can Condensed Milk
- 2 Tablespoon Ghee
- 1 Big Bowl Vermicelli
- 1 Liter Half & Half
Method
Step 1
Add one tablespoon ghee to a cooking bowl & Add 1/4 cup chironji, 1/4 cup pistachios, 1/4 cup Mellon seeds, 1/4 cup cashews, 1/4 cup almonds, 1/4 cup dates, 1 teaspoon cardamom powder.
Step 2
Fry until the nice aromatic smell.
Step 3
Add 1 tablespoon ghee and add vermicelli.
Step 4
Fry until 3 minutes, don't burn it.
Step 5
In a pot, boil 1 1/2 liter milk, stirring occasionally.
Step 6
Add condensed milk and mix it until it dissolves.
Step 7
Add 5 tablespoons of sugar.
Step 8
Add 1 teaspoon cardamom powder.
Step 9
Add fried nuts and mix it well for 1 minute.
Step 10
Add the vermicelli and mix well, boil until vermicelli is cooked.
Step 11
Turn off the stove and enjoy.
