Indian Style Shakshuka Recipe is a delicious twist to the traditional Shakshuka. Pouched eggs served on a thick tomato and pepper sauce is the perfect combination. It is spicy, tangy and saucy.
- 6 Eggs
- 1 Large Onion
- 3 Large Tomatoes
- 1 Large Capsicum
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- Coriander Leaves for Garnish
Heat 1 tablespoon oil and add chopped onions.
Add chopped green chilies and fry until onions are light brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste, add turmeric powder and fry for 1 minute.
Add chopped capsicum and mix well, close the lid—Cook for 1 minute.
Add chopped tomatoes, mix them well and cook for 2 minutes.
Add 1 teaspoon Chili Powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and mix well—Cook for 10 minutes.
Add 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder, coriander leaves, and mix well.
When the water reduces, make a space with a spoon and turn the low heat flame. Slowly crack the egg.
Close the lid and cook for 10 minutes on a low flame.
Open the cover, slowly check if the egg is thoroughly cooked and cook for 2 minutes, turn off the stove.
