Ginger Chicken or Adraki Murgh is a spicy chicken curry with bold flavors of Ginger. It tastes delicious with steamed rice or any Indian bread.

Ingredients

  • 500 Grams Chicken
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Cumin Powder (Jeera)
  • 1 Tablespoon Garam Masala
  • 1/2 Cup Ginger Paste
  • 1 Cup Cashew Paste
  • 1 Cup Fried Onions
  • 1 Cup Mint Leaves
  • 1/2 Cup Curd
  • 4 Tablespoons Soya Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil
  • Coriander Leaves for Garnish

Method

Step 1

Take 500 grams fresh chicken, add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder.

Step 2

Add 1 tablespoon red chili powder, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon Jeera powder, 1 tablespoon garam masala, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 1 tablespoon cashew paste, 1/2 cup curd, and marinate it overnight.

Step 3

Add 2 tablespoons coconut or any oil in Kadai, and now add the marinated chicken.

Step 4

Once the water starts releasing from the chicken, add chopped pudina and sauté it for 10 minutes.

Step 5

Once the pudina rawness goes away, cover the lid, and cook it for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Remove the lid and add ginger paste and mix well.

Step 7

Once oil oozes out, add brown onions.

Step 8

Once the brown onions are mixed well, add cashew paste mix well and cover the lid for 5 minutes.

Step 9

Now add tomato ketchup, soya sauce, and mix well. Cover the top until the chicken is well cooked. Once the chicken is cooked, garnish with coriander.
