Chukka Kura is most popular in Andhra & Telangana States. Chukka kura (khatta palak) is a sour leafy green available in our parts with fleshy leaves similar in looks to spinach and a flavor as tangy as red sorrel or gongura leaves. Its so good to eat, the taste also so different, some spicy and sour taste. We prepare this recipe using bone chicken, onions & Chukka Kura.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 1 Cup Chopped Onion
- 5 Chopped Greed Chilies
- Chukka Kura (Khatta Palak)
- 500 Grams Chicken
- 3 Teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- Salt as per Taste
Method
Step 1
In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add 1 cup chopped onions and few green chilies. Sauté until golden brown.
Step 2
Add1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, and mix well.
Step 3
Add 500 grams of chicken and close the lid. Cook for 2 minutes and mix it well.
Step 4
Add 3 teaspoons chili powder, add 1 teaspoon salt, and mix well. Cook for 3 minutes.
Step 5
Add 1 cup water and mix well. Cook until chicken is well done.
Step 6
Add chopped Chukka Kura (Khatta Palak). Mix it well and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 7
Mix and turn off the stove. Serve with white rice or roti.
