Veg Manchurian

Veg Manchurian is an addictive Indo-Chinese dish made with wisps of vegetables formed into dumplings and dunked into a sauce that explodes with hot, sweet, sour and salty flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Cabbage Finely Chopped and Squeezed

  • 1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Carrot

  • 1 Medium Finely Chopped Capsicum

  • 1 Large Mashed Potato

  • 2 Tablespoon Corn Flour

  • 2 Tablespoon Maida (All Purpose Flour)

  • Salt as per taste

  • 2 Tablespoon Butter

  • 7-8 Garlic Cloves Finely Chopped

  • 2 Finely Chopped Green Chillies

  • 2 Tablespoon Red Chili Sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon Soya Sauce

  • 1 Teaspoon Vinegar

  • 2 Tablespoon Tomato Ketchup

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper

  • 2 Teaspoon Corn Flour Starch

  • Coriander Leaves

Method:

  1. In a bowl add 1 cup cabbage finely chopped and squeezed, 1/2 cup finely chopped carrot, 1 medium finely chopped capsicum, 1 large mashed potato, 2 tablespoons cornflour, 2 tablespoons maida (All Purpose Flour), salt as per taste and mix all together.

  2. Make small balls and keep it aside.

  3. Heat oil in a Kadai and deep fry all the balls until brown in color. Keep it aside.

  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter, add 7-8 finely chopped garlic, 2 finely chopped green chilies and sauté for 30 seconds.

  5. Add 2 tablespoon red chili sauce, 1 tablespoon soya sauce, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, a little salt and mix well.

  6. Add 2 teaspoons cornflour starch mixed in water and mix well.

  7. Now add a fried Manchurian ball and mix well.

  8. Turn off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
