Chicken piccata features chicken breasts simmered in a delicious caper and lemon juice sauce served with pasta or mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
- 500 Grams of Thin Slice Chicken breast
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Chicken Stock
- 1/3 Cup Lemon Juice
- 1/4 Cup Capers
- Few Lemon Slices - Cut into thin slices
- Few Parsley Leaves
Method
Step 1
Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Dip the chicken in flour and shake off excess.
Step 2
Add 1 tablespoon butter, 2 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet. When the butter and oil are hot, add chicken pieces and cook until chicken is well done on both sides. Take the chicken out into the plate.
Step 3
In the same skillet, add 1/2 cup chicken stock, 1/3 cup lemon juice, 1/4 cup capers, few thin-sliced lemon slices, and mix well.
Step 4
Add cooked chicken pieces and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the chicken and keep it aside.
Step 6
Add chopped parsley to the sauce and mix well. Turn off the stove.
Step 7
Add chicken pieces to the serving plate and topped with lemon sauce. Serve with a side of pasta.
