Chili baby corn is one of the popular baby corn snacks recipes from Indo Chinese cuisine. An extremely popular Indo-Chinese recipe made with baby corn, onion, bell pepper and sauté in a sweet-spicy Chinese sauce.

Ingredients

  • Baby Corn

Ingredients (For Batter)

  • 2 Tablespoons Maida (All Purpose Flour)
  • 2 Tablespoons Corn Flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • A pinch Orange Red Color

Ingredients (For Seasoning)

  • 2 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Green Chilies
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Spring Onions
  • 1/2 Cup Red Capsicum
  • 1/2 Cup Green Capsicum
  • 1/2 Cup Onions
  • 2 Tablespoons Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Soya Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon Chili Garlic Sauce
  • Little Water
  • Coriander Leaves

Method

Step 1

Cut the baby corn into medium size pieces & boil them in water for 5 minutes.

Step 2

In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of cornflour, 1/2 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tablespoon chili powder, 1/2 tablespoon salt, a pinch of orange-red color & mix them well.

Step 3

Add little water and make it a thick batter.

Step 4

Now add the boiled baby corn to the batter and mix it. Deep fry the baby corn in oil like pakoda & take it out & keep it aside.

Step 5

Take a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, and heat it for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Now add 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon of green chilies & add half a spring onion cup. Mix them for 5 secs on high flame.

Step 7

Add ½ cup red capsicum, 1/2 cup green capsicum, 1/2 cup onions & sauté them for 2 minutes.

Step 8

Add 2 tablespoons vinegar, 2 tablespoons tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons soya sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoon chili garlic paste/sauce & mix them well for 30 secs.

Step 9

Add little water and mix well.

Step 10

Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 11

Add salt as per taste and mix well.

Step 12

Add fried baby corn and mix well. Cook it for 2 minutes.

Step 13

Turn off the stove & enjoy the delicious chilly baby corn.
