Kobbari Pachadi is a coconut chutney that is served with rice in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The best way to enjoy Kobbari Pachadi is to mix it with some hot rice and ghee.
Ingredients (For Chutney)
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 15 – 20 Green Chilies
- 1 Medium Chopped Onion
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 7-8 Garlic Cloves
- Fresh Coriander Leaves
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
Ingredients (For Seasoning)
- 3 Tablespoons Oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 2 Teaspoon Urad Dal
- 3 Red Chilies Curry Leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Method
Step 1
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add 15-20 green chilies. Sauté for 3 minutes and keep it aside.
Step 2
Take some fresh coconut pieces and add them to a grinder.
Step 3
Add 1 medium chopped onion, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 7-8 garlic cloves, fresh coriander leaves, 1 teaspoon salt, fried green chilies, and close the lid. Grind it coarsely.
Step 4
Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan and add 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 2 teaspoon urad dal, 3 dry red chilies, curry leaves, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. Turn off the flame.
Step 5
Add the ground coconut to the seasoning oil and mix well.
Step 6
Take it to the bowl and serve with hot steamed rice.
