Ripe Red Chilli pickle, also known as the Pandu Mirapakaya Pachadi, is a simple and spicy chutney made from fresh red chilies. Serve this with hot rice and ghee for a simply delicious meal.
Ingredients (For Chutney)
- 250 Grams Ripe Red Chilies
- 1 Teaspoon Jeera
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 Teaspoon Methi Seeds
- 50 Grams Tamarind
- 50 Grams Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 6-8 Garlic Cloves
Ingredients (For Seasoning)
- 4 Tablespoons Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Jeera
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- Few Dry Red Chilies
- 6 Crushed Garlic
- Few Curry Leaves
Method
Step 1
Wash and clean red chilies. Cut them into pieces and keep them aside.
Step 2
Dry roast 1 teaspoon jeera, 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/4 teaspoon methi seeds for 1 minute. Turn off the stove and let it cool.
Step 3
Add the spices to the grinder and make a fine powder. Take it to the bowl.
Step 4
Add chopped red chilies to the grinder and add 50 grams of tamarind, 6-8 garlic cloves, 50 grams of salt and make a smooth paste.
Step 5
Add the red chili paste to the spices bowl and add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder. Mix all together.
Step 6
Heat 4 tablespoons oil and add 1 teaspoon jeera, 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, few dry red chilies, 6 crushed garlic, few curry leaves.
Step 7
Add the seasoning to the red chili pickles and mix well.
Step 8
Serve with white rice with ghee.
